A Cudahy man could be charged with animal abuse after police say he admitted that he beat his 13-year-old beagle to death with a baseball bat because it was ill and he had no money to take it to a veterinarian or to euthanize it.The man told police that the dog had been suffering for several months and that it would cry at times and had trouble walking.
